Chichester, the westernmost constituency in West Sussex, follows the same electoral path as most of this comfortable county, and will deliver a substantial Conservative majority. With the genteel cathedral city of Chichester and smart little towns like Petworth and and Midhurst, any other outcome would be almost unthinkable. This is not one of those rural seats with a strong Liberal Democrat presence, and they must content themselves with a modest second place.
