In Norwich North they fell shot by just 266 votes. This seat includes a minority of the city itself, although we do find Mousehold Heath, the scene of Robert Ket's famous rebellion of 1549. The city centre itself is located in Norwich South, now a fairly safe Labour seat. A goodly part of the electorate of North is composed of suburbs outside the city limits, such as Sprowston, Thrope St Andrew and Hellesdon. In the boundary changes that come into effect at the next Election, this suburban portion is strengthened with the inclusion of over 7,000 electors from Mid Norfolk constituency, located around Drayton and Taverham. This might just save the Tories' bacon in Norwich North, but not if Labour sweeps to victory with an overall majority in the Commons.
