Berkshire has been awarded an extra seat in the latest boundary changes, effectively breaking the old constituency of Windsor and Maidenhead into its two eponymous halves. Windsor, which bears the Queen's surname and includes top public school Eton and the racecourse at Ascot, is unsurprisingly deeply establishment and true-blue Tory. There is some resistance in the form of a Liberal Democrat nucleus in the town of Windsor itself, but Tory MP Michael Trend will have an easy run in this one-horse race.
