Culturally part of that belt of affluent middle-class Cheshire to the south of Manchester, this seat contains, in Hale and Bowdon, two of the most affluent small towns in England. With the non-Conservative vote uncertainly split between Labour and the Liberal Democrats, there is no reason to expect anything other than another Conservative victory hereabouts.
