Carrick, Cumnock and Dunoon, in the Scottish county of Ayrshire, is dominated by former coal-mining communities. It also includes rural and agricultural areas as well as the resort town of Girvan, but the Labour leaning industrial inheritance is more than enough to see Labour's George Foulkes home with a safe majority.
