Located in north east London, around the southern tip of Epping Forest, where the M11 motorway joins the North Circular Road, this is lower-middle class, as opposed to affluent, suburbia. The culturally conservative and homogeneous electorate are not given to risky flirtations with more radical politics and the Tories can view this as a safe seat.
