Dartford is a Kent constituency hard against the borders of Greater London on the southern shores of the River Thames. The town of Dartford itself leans towards Labour, but more rural areas to the south, including the pretty villages in the Darent Valley, are strongly Conservative. The overall picture makes this a Conservative seat that Labour will be unlikely to win unless there is a large swing to the party.
