The new seat of Denton and Reddish is to the east of Greater Manchester and on the north side of Stockport. There is a fairly mixed complexion to this constituency, but the suburban elements on this side of Manchester lack the super-affluence of the areas to the south and south-west of the city. There are also substantial peripheral council estates that tip the balance of voting safely to Labour.
