Surrey's main city of Guildford, with its major shopping centre and large university campus, is big enough to contain significant areas of local authority housing with a continuing tradition of voting Labour, but the total picture here is one of an affluent electorate, enjoying the benefits of a buoyant local economy. The Liberal Democrats put up the main challenge to Conservative MP, David Howell, but he shouldn't feel too anxious in this essentially safe Tory seat.
