Hamilton South comprises most of the town of Hamilton itself, on the south-east side of the greater Glasgow conurbation, and is held by Labour MP George Robertson. The scene of an SNP revival 30 years ago, the more traditional loyalty to Labour here has long been re-established, and the party should consider the seat safe.
