Ultra-wet and pro-Europe Conservative MP Hugh Dykes is the incumbent in this essentially middle-class constituency in north-west London. There is a significant Asian electorate here, but it is essentially settled, comfortable and middle-class, and like many such communities in this part of the capital, has no great allegiance to Labour. This is a fairly typical safe Tory suburban seat.
