The seat of Ilford North, in north-east London, is largely semi-detached and suburban. There is a large estate of local authority housing at Hainault, but the overall profile of lower middle-class owner occupation is comfortably Conservative. With new boundaries, extra voters come in from the former Wanstead and Woodford seat, but this was also Tory, and the changes do not disrupt the general picture.
