The most inner-city of Lewisham's constituencies, and the one with the largest non-white, essentially Afro-caribbean electorate, Lewisham and Deptford is unsurprisingly Labour's safest. There are pockets of Conservative strength, particularly to the south, but Labour MP Joan Ruddock, will have no serious worries of losing.
