Moray, in the rural north east of Scotland, is a constituency of solid little burghs set in rolling farmland. This is one of those seats that has become a battlefield between the Conservatives and the Scottish Nationalists. In recent elections the Nationalists have come out on top and must expect to hold the seat in 1997.
