As in much of the middle-class area of the South East London suburbs, this is a new constituency created by the need to reduce the overall number of seats. Not as affluent as some Outer London seats, this is nevertheless pretty solid middle-class territory. This seat looks safely Conservative, with the opposition vote being fairly evenly split between Labour and the Liberal Democrats.
