The north end of the troubled inner-city London borough of Lambeth, Vauxhall juxtaposes distinguished landmarks like the South Bank arts complex, County Hall and the Oval cricket ground with extensive council estates like Stockwell Park. On a local government level, there has been a strong reaction against the scandal-ridden Labour council to the benefit of the LibDems, but this does not translate into a swing against Labour at national level. Labour incumbent Kate Hoey should have an easy time of it.
