Lytham St. Anne's is a very genteel resort and retirement town to the south of Blackpool and is the main centre in the Fylde constituency. Unlike Blackpool, where the Conservative's grip has slipped in recent years, Lytham, plus Kirkham and villages to the east, remains rock solidly behind the Tories, and this is an extremely safe Conservative seat.
