Of the two constituencies which make up Northampton, Northampton South is the safer for the Conservatives. As well as older town centre neighbourhoods, the seat contains Northampton's expanding and prosperous southern suburbs, and also a number of comfortable commuter villages. Conservative MP Michael Morris should be safe.
